We sponsor visiting speakers, a monthly faculty reading group (at which members discuss a recent piece of published scholarship or share their own works-in-progress), and a biennial May faculty seminar for intensive study of interdisciplinary topics.

Tim Mahoney, Professor of History, will present a section from his upcoming manuscript titled "From Hometown to Battlefield: Middle Class Experience in the Civil War Era, 1855 -1865."
