Lincoln-Omaha Society

Lecture Series

Each year the Society hosts approximately six lectures that are distributed on a more or less equal basis at either of our two venues: Richards Hall on the UNL campus or the Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha.  Each year we are sent three major speakers from the AIA National Office and we augment this national schedule to include archaeologists who work locally or close by Lincoln or Omaha.  On several occasions we have hosted speakers from nearby universities, such as Iowa State, Missouri, Iowa and Kansas.

All lectures are free and open to the public.  Membership in the AIA is not required for admittance.  We do encourage, however, joining the AIA to help the organization continue sponsoring the Lecture Program.
