'Italian Vengeance, and English Forbearance; a Romance, by Selina Davenport;' a little work, which might more properly have been entitled 'The Unknown of the Ruins,' is written with delicacy of sentiment, and, the most precious boon of a woman, a chaste heart.-Perhaps a rather too romantic strain runs through it; shewing its writer to be a recluse from the ways of the selfish, dangerous, and therefore to be guarded-against, world; but the progress of the tale cannot fail to interest the unsophisticated reader.
