As certified teachers, most participants will have already completed a course on human relations/multicultural education; if not, it will be a deficiency in this program

SCPI can be passed at any time before or during graduate program in deaf education. Courses in ASL from UNL (SLPA 101, 102, 201, 202) or other campuses can help prepare students for a passing score on SCPI. ECSE majors should have one course in sign language.
