EMF: Studies in Early Modern France
A themed, refereed annual, EMF:
Studies in Early Modern France first appeared in 1994 as
a sequel to Continuum: Problems in French Literature from
the Late Renaissance to the Early Enlightenment (New York:
AMS Press, 1989-93).
The aim of the publications' founding
editor, D. L. Rubin, was to identify broad critical issues and
provide a venue for fully developed essays written from a variety
of viewpoints and using a broad spectrum of methods. This policy
is being creatively extended by the second generation of editors,
Anne L. Birberick and Russell J. Ganim.
