§ Call for Proposals §
You are invited to submit session proposals for the Nebraska Multicultural Exchange Conference (NIMEC). The conference will be held on November 8, 2003 at the University of Nebraska City Campus Union. Students, scholars, and faculty from UNL and other colleges and universities in Nebraska and surrounding states and members of the community are the focus participants. The conference is being organized by UNL campus organization Lincoln Friends of Foreign Students - Student Work Team, the Offices of International Affairs and Vice-Chancellor for Student Affairs and the Department of Academic Conferences.

NIMEC provides an opportunity for cultural exchange between the community and international students. Conference sessions offer information about specific cultures through presentations and hands-on participation. In addition to a full day of education sessions, a welcome event on Friday evening (November 7) and an international dinner on Saturday night (November 8) are designed to encourage interaction and learning among participants. This unique and exciting program has won the Chancellor's award for "Best Education/Entertainment Program" the past two years. It has grow in both nature and scope each year, and we expect an even better event in 2003.
