Lincoln Friends of Foreign Students (LFFS)

An all-volunteer Lincoln community organization active for over 40 years. LFFS seeks to promote friendship and understanding between people of differing nationalities by pairing interested Lincoln area families and individuals with international students enrolled at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  These Lincoln families serve as the students' special friends in the United States.  LFFS is  governed by a Board of Directors.  Apply for membership in Lincoln Friends of Foreign Students or learn more about the program.

International Students

Every international student is eligible to apply for Lincoln friends.  Learn more about the program.  Student applications are available through the University of Nebraska International Affairs office or may be completed.  They should be submitted at the beginning of your first semester.

Student Workteam organization

The associated student organization at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln originally formed by UNL international students to work with LFFS.   This organization is officially named the Lincoln Friends of Foreign Students-Student Workteam Organization (LFFS-SWO).
