Candace Behrens

 

Candace Behrens is a senior psychology and sociology major. She has worked in Dr. Dennis McChargue’s Health and Addiction Vulnerability Laboratory since the spring of 2006. She will be continuing to work with Dennis because of her 2007-2008 UCARE Award for the Alcohol Skills Training Research Program. Candace is also the 2007-2008 Psi Chi-President. She has recently been employed by the Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families, and Schools at UNL as a research assistant. Her main job is to do miscellaneous work for the Getting Ready Project. She has also recently joined Dr. David Hansen’s and Dr. Richard Wiener’s research labs. Her main involvement with David Hansen’s lab is through the Family Interaction Skills Clinic. Her interests in Dr. Wiener’s lab include the Hate Study and Generic Prejudice Study. Candace’s main interests in psychology are clinical, law, and social psychology.

After graduating in May, Candace plans to attend graduate school in clinical, law, or social psychology.
