Stacie R. Nichols
I received my B.A. from the University of Nebraska in 2006. I have worked in the Legal Decision Making research lab since 2002 and participated in both the UCARE and the REU program.
I am currently working with Generic Prejudice research. Several community studies in this area have been conducted recently and we are working on the final one involving a videotaped re-enactment of a sexual assault case. The purpose of this research is to determine the role of emotions in either encouraging or inhibiting generic prejudice in guilt verdicts. My Masters Equivalancy Research Project will focus on the implicit and explicit properties of Generic Prejudice. I am also interested in the role of emotions in capital murder cases.
