The Technical Services Department is comprised of one professional librarian, three full-time support staff, and one half-time support staff.

 

Each position has shared responsibilities of processing all incoming library materials to which we subscribe, as well as handling all regular incoming mail to the entire law college.

 

Materials processed for the library which are shared by the three FTE staff include activities of: sorting mail, checking in materials, dealing with complementary materials, handling newspapers, marking and labeling, and shelving of newly received and newly cataloged items. To help perform these functions, we use an integrated library system called Millennium, the proven software produced by the company called Innovative Interfaces, Inc.

 

Each position also has unique responsibilities in their areas of speciality, such as binding and serial claiming, copy cataloging, filing, and serials maintenance and routing of materials to faculty.
