| Events: Retreat
The Center's Annual Retreat 2009 was held on April 3-5 at the Lied Lodge and Conference Center-Arbor Day Farm in Nebraska City. This year there were over 100 participants both from within and outside of the Center attended, there were nine presentations made by members of the Center (2009 Program), Alexander V. Kabanov, Ph.D., Dr. Sc. Parke-Davis Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy Director, Center for Drug Delivery and Nanomedicine at UNMC gave a special presentation, and 25 posters were presented (abstracts). This year, there was a change in format, with the Retreat beginning on Friday evening with a reception to meet the speakers which was met well by those attending. The event is sponsored by the Center to stimulate scientific interactions and an exchange of ideas and was hosted this year by Jaekwon Lee. All personnel associated with RBC-affiliated laboratories are welcome to attend and participate in all of the sessions. Retreat expenses, including an overnight stay at the Lied Lodge and Conference Center and meals are provided free to participants. Additional guests/spouses are also invited to attend.
