Sharon Teo (Film & New Media Production)

Sharon Teo (Associate Professor) received her B.S. Radio-TV-Film from the University of Texas at Austin and her M.F.A in Film Production from Ohio University. In addition to producing and directing film shorts, she produced the feature film “Almost Normal” (Distributor: Seventh Art Releasing). She produced for the series “Intouch with the Arts” at Ohio’s PBS affiliate, WOUB. She has won numerous awards, including a Regional Emmy for editing the documentary “Wandering Souls: Tet ’68 Remembered” and the ACE Eddie student editing award. She also edited the award-winning feature films “Out of Season” and “Almost Normal”. Sharon has won numerous awards for her producing and editing work on DVDs. In 2004, she was responsible for postproduction on a DVD which resulted in a total gift of $9.3million from Johnny Carson for the Department of Theatre Arts. Sharon teaches courses in production, postproduction, producing and directing, and new media production.
