Alumni Support
With over 600 members, the Ag Men Alpha Gamma Nu Alumni Association provides strong support to our Alpha Gamma Nu Fraternity. Our alums represent a complete range of professions and business activities. From College Deans to elementary school teachers; from agri-business producers to agriculture researchers, our alums are represented. We have doctors, lawyers, accountants, bankers and insurance professionals. We have alums in religious vocations, airline pilots, and military professions. The diversity of the Alumni Association is the strength of support that we provide to Alpha Gamma Nu. The Alumni Association is organized with an Advisory Board, which provides advice and leadership to the House. The Alumni Board also provides a house advisor that works closely with the House officers and the members on a regular basis. Our goal is to make possible, the days at Alpha Gamma Nu the best experience of a young man's college life.
AG-Men Listserv
The purpose of a listserv is to be able to send one message to a large group of people. Here at Alpha Gamma Nu we have set a listserv up for our alumni to be able to help keep them informed of happenings here and to help keep the alumni in contact with each other. The listserv has a list of alumni email accounts on database. If anyone on the listserv wants to send a message to the other alumni all they have to do is write their message and send it to the listserv. The listserv then sends an email out to everyone subscribed. Here are some instructions on how to use the listserv.
How do I send a message?
To send a message on the listserv is quite easy. All that needs to be done is to send the email to alphagammanu@unl.edu. Once the email is received by this account the same message you sent is forwarded to all alumni on the list. If you have any questions please email us.
How do I get placed on the Alumni Listserv?
To subscribe to the AG-Men Listserv you must follow these instructions exactly. Send an email to listserv@unl.edu. You must leave the subject field blank. In the message body write the phrase: subscribe ALPHAGAMMANU. That is all you have to do. If you have any questions or problems please e-mail us and we will be able to fix the problem or answer your question. The purpose of the listserv is for the alumni to interact with all of the alumni on the list. You can also inform other alumni about upcoming events or demographic changes (street address, email address, etc.).
How do I remove myself from the Alumni ListServ?
If you do change your email address and want to remove your old email address from the listserv this is how you can do it. Send an email to listserv@unl.edu. You must leave the subject field blank. In the message body write the phrase: unsubscribe ALPHAGAMMANU. If you have any questions or problems, please email us and we will be able to fix the problem or answer your question.
