Many seniors find athletics to be a major part of their high school experience. However, when college rolls around, many students find that they do not have time or that there is a lack of interest from people they live with to continue with athletics. At Alpha Gamma Sigma, we are committed to continuing athletic excellence. College is about learning and enjoying oneself. Sports are a great way to relax and stay fit. Whether it is an intramural game, or just a study break, members can continue to play the sports that they love and even experience a few new ones. Alpha Gamma Sigma sponsors intramural sports teams such a flag-football, basketball, softball, and many others. One of the Alpha Gamma Sigma's favorite spring activities is the Alpha Sig Olympics. Each class competes against each other in friendly games of basketball, volleyball, and a half-mile race. The winning class receives their name on a trophy, plus bragging rites over the other classes.

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln has over 50 intramural sports to participate in, and aside from intramurals, many of the members also participate in other philanthropy golf and 3-on-3 basketball tournaments. But whether playing in a flag-football game, or playing a game of basketball in the fraternity parking lot, one builds the qualities of teamwork, sportsmanship, and brotherhood, which we strive for here at Alpha Gamma Sigma.
