| The Cornhuskers made their
first-ever trip to Omaha for the College World Series to conclude an exciting
2001 baseball season.
Omaha's Rosenblatt Stadium has hosted the NCAA Baseball
Championships since 1950 and the only other local team to participate was
Creighton on 1991. We hope the Huskers return soon.

The Huskers were appearance in Omaha was short-lived as they
lost two close games. The first seeded Cal-State Fullerton defeated the
Huskers by a 5-4 score.
The second game was another one-run game as the Huskers lost
to Tulane by 6-5. |
