American Mathematics Competitions

AMC 10-AMC 12

ALABAMA -- Even though we have been fortunate to win many math competitions over the years, this remains to be my most prized award. We appreciate the hard work that you do to help the young students in our nation become more proficient in mathematics.

ILLINOIS -- The AMC 10 has generated more interest in the AMC in general. Those who took AMC 10 look forward to the challenge of AMC 12. Thanks.

MASSACHUSETTS -- Great questions. Can't imagine why any high school would not want to participate. You have done a Fabulous Job throughout my entire teaching career!

NEBRASKA -- I always enjoy the questions, and my students get very intrigued by some of them. Thanks!

NEW MEXICO -- This is my first year in charge of the contest. Directions were very clear. I appreciate the opportunity for students to get recognition for their math ability. Thank you.

We believe this to be the most prestigious mathematics competition in the country.

NEW YORK -- At first glance I like the questions: interesting, different, challenging but with enough accessible questions. I love that students can keep the booklets...

OHIO -- I love the creativity of the problems on these tests and seeing my students find different solutions than I did!

PENNSYLVANIA -- Your problems always provide some stimulating discussions!

VIRGINIA -- The kids were challenged and waiting to go over the results. Thank you for all your hard work.

We appreciate the opportunity to challenge our students, and to compare our students with others across the country.

GREECE -- Once again excellent job! Many thanks for giving us the opportunity to participate in this well-known mathematics competition.

BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA -- The contest is extremely organized and well received in our school, students value being able to mention their placement in resumes, etc for university. One of our universities gives high consideration to the mark achieved on the AMC.

QUEBEC, CANADA -- The AMC 12 has always been my primary competition because there are questions for everyone; it is fairly short and easy to do being multiple choices.

  1. I have been participating in the AMC competitions since 9th grade, and last year I received a perfect score on the AMC 12B. .... I would like to thank you very much for sponsoring the American Mathematics Competions. It has been one of the most significant experiences of my high school career. During the past three years' training for this competition, I have learned to look at problems from new perspectives, and my math knowledge has certainly grown. My experience with AMC has also allowed me to participate in other programs and meet other students with the same interests. I really appreciate the opportunities and education this competition provides me.

  2. I want to thank you for providing the country with the AMC tests for all these years, they have provided me with endless joys of mathematics and helped me decide what I want to do with my life.
