AMC 10 / AMC 12

Administration Ruling

EARLY ADMINISTRATION is NEVER permitted and will lead to a disqualification of the results. Such an administration would jeopardize the validity of all scores from nearby and far away schools.

OFFICIAL ADMINISTRATION - The AMC 10 and AMC 12, will be given officially each year only on the designated days, which for 2009 are February 10, (the week before Presidents' Day) and February 25 (the week after Presidents' Day), so that the two dates are approximately two weeks apart. Giving the Contest Presidents week is avoided. Official participants, their school and their teacher are eligible for National Awards. In addition, official participants are eligible for all intramural awards and consideration for participation in the AIME.

This year there will be no unofficial period after the official date to take the contest. Contest managers may allow the students to keep the exam booklet when the contest is finished.
