2008 Madrid, Spain: Coordination and touring

"Hello everyone, Today (Friday, July 18) was the first day of coordination. No scores to report yet, probably won't be available until late tomorrow at the earliest, more likely on Sunday (July 20) morning. Zuming and Razvan are working hard at the coordination. Today the students went on an excursion, first to Segovia for sightseeing, then to El Escorial, both northwest of Madrid. At Escorial, they got a good lesson on 400 years of Spanish history and art. All are still doing well, and are enjoying seeing Spain and meeting some of the other IMO participants.
