Alpha Omicron Pi's international philanthropy is the Arthritis Research Foundation. Over 8.4 million young adults have arthritis and millions of others are at risk for developing it. AOII's are doing everything we can to support this much-needed research in hopes of one day finding a cure. Last year the combined total contributed from all AOII chapters was over $124,000!
Every year Zeta chapter hosts two philanthropies. Our fall philanthropy is called Grill Out to Strike Out Arthritis. We coordinate it with the football schedule to create a tailgate atmosphere before a big home game! All-you-can-eat BBQ sandwiches are served while entertainment is provided by local bands.
Our second philanthropy is held in the spring. Hoop-It is a 5-on-5, all male basketball tournament. Over 35 teams participate from all over campus and surrounding areas.
Last year our philanthropies raised over $3,600 for arthritis research!

AOII's also enjoy supporting and participating in a number of other philanthropies on campus including Dance Marathon and Relay for Life, as well as philanthropies hosted by other Greek chapters!
