A Note From Our President

Welcome to the Alpha Phi Nu Chapter website!

I’m blessed to be a part of such a diverse group of wonderful women.  Everyday I am surrounded by women who are passionate, genuine, and also fun to be around.  I couldn’t imagine spending my college years without Alpha Phi.  It has encouraged me to be the best version of myself, and I have really come into my own due to such great support.  It is exciting to be around girls who push each other to succeed and become the women they are supposed to be.  It is because we have such driven members that our philanthropies are so successful, that we have some of the greatest leaders on campus, and that every semester we have one of the top 3 GPAs for sororities.

Reflecting on the time I‘ve spend in A-Phi, I’ve had countless opportunities to meet new people that I wouldn’t have known otherwise, learned a tremendous amount from alumni, and had a group that I’ve come to rely on throughout the ups and downs of college.  My greatest memories are in the big white house where I come home to sisters who respect each other and share their goals and passions.  I feel privileged to serve as president where I’m able to contribute as much to Alpha Phi as it has to my joy over the past three years at the University.

The objects of our Fraternity are the promotion of growth in character, unity of feeling, sisterly affection and social communion among our members. In all we do, we try to obey God’s principles of justice and right. We have banded ourselves together to improve our minds and hearts, and we seek to aid each other through a constant Watchcare always given in love. We believe ourselves to be sincere searchers for truth.

We seek the highest ideal of womanhood, and we try to gain this ideal by cultivating not only the power and passion for seeking intellectual development, but also the spirit of love and charity. And we who are thus united are under a solemn pledge to lend a helping hand to one another.
Our Purpose

If you’re looking to find a place amongst the Greek organizations at the University of Nebraska, I wish you the best of luck.  Be yourself, have genuine conversations, expose yourself to new people, and have fun.   As a freshman I could have never imagined the bonds I would form with the strangers around me, and I now know that Alpha Phi isn’t something that will end when my time in school is done.  I truly love Alpha Phi and the friendships I’ve formed as a part of this organization.
