Whittney LeBruce
APU President
Whittney is a junior Music Education major from Fort Worth, TX. She is currently a New Student Enrollment Orientation Leader and member of the Cornhusker Marching Band, Jones Scholar Alumni, the Diversity Enhancement Team, and the 2007 Big 12 Conference on Black Student Government Planning Committee. Her hobbies include music and staying in touch with family and friends. She is very family-oriented and career focused and plans to eventually become a music educator or educational administrator.

Ivana Jackson
APU First Vice-President
Ivana is a sophomore, News Editorial Journalism & Biological Science major from Washington, DC. She is the chair of the Public Relations Committee for the 2007 Big 12 Conference on Black Student Government, Jones Scholar Alumni, and a Student Involvement Presenter for Red Letter Days. Ivana currently works as a Public Relations writer in the SI office of Student Involvement and as a Husker Vision student staff member. Her interests include spending time with family and friends, dancing, traveling and shopping. Ivana aspires to be the first generation college graduate, after graduation she plans to eventually become the Director of the Discovery Channel.

Jessica Warren
APU Second Vice-President
Jessica Warren is a sophomore Family Science major, minoring in Community and Regional Planning from Omaha, NE. Her professional goal is to serve as a grant writer and/or CEO for a non-profit organization. As well as serving as the 2nd Vice for APU, she is one of the student co-chairs for the Career and Graduate/Professional School Fairs for the Big 12 Conference on Black Student Government. Her hobbies include spending time with those closest to her, any and all community service, listening to old school hip-hop and R&B, and shopping.

Ariel Cooper
APU Treasurer
Ariel is a sophomore Education Major. Other then being the Treasurer of APU she serves as co-chair of the Speakers & Workshop Committee for the Big XII Conference 2007, a devoted member of NU Connections, and a Gates Scholar. She enjoys styling hair and spending spear time with friends and family. She truly believes that Education is key, which she will express through her aspirations in being a future educator.

Morisha Howard
APU Secretary
Morisha is currently a sophomore, Criminal Justice major from Omaha, Nebraska. She is currently an active member in the 2007 Big XII Planning Committee, while maintaining a job at Cline Williams Law Firm. Her hobbies include meeting new people, learning, music, and spending time with family and friends. Her goal is to become an attorney and live a stable life mentally, emotionally, and financially.

Ashley Easter
APU Historian
Ashley is a sophomore Pre-Law student with a major in Spanish and a minor International Studies from Omaha, NE. In the future she would like to become an attorney, and also start a business that will help break-down demographic barriers that are present in the country. Through her business she plans to advice and counsel low-income families, as well as help these families seek funding towards the purchase of a new home.

Morrel JaVawn Wax a.k.a. MoWax
APU Parliamentarian
Morrel is a sophomore International Business major from Omaha, Nebraska. He takes great pride in staying involved and getting others involved in the process. He works hard as a leader in several organizations like NU Connection, ASUN, Learning Community mentor, and a lot more. He is a huge Dallas Mavericks fan and this year is our year! I love meeting new people, so come up to me and converse!

Charlesette W. Foster, MA
APU Advisor
Charlie is a mental healthcare provider from Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Charlie received both her BA and MA from the University of Alabama. She currently is a counselor with Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) at the University Health Center and previously worked with emotionally disturbed children and ran a Therapeutic Foster Care Program in Alabama. Charlesette Foster is also the Coordinator of the Eating Disorder Treatment Team for CAPS. She currently sits on the Governor's Commission for the Protection of Children. Foster has been the advisor for APU for the past 2 1/2 years and remains excited about having contact with such promising students. Charlie's interests include shopping, interior design, and kick-boxing, and she is a member of Zeta Phi Beta, Inc.
