Whether you're a college-bound high school student or already attending a college or university, Army ROTC has scholarships available. Scholarships are awarded based on a student's merit and grades, not financial need. University based scholarships are also available.
Army ROTC scholarships are valuable in many ways:
- Two-, three-, and four-year scholarship options based on the time remaining to complete your degree
- 100% of tuition paid , even out-of-state tuition
- Additional $600 pay for books and fees per semester

Army ROTC scholarships also provide monthly living allowances for each school year. You can earn certain amounts depending on your level in the Army ROTC curriculum:
- 1st year $300 per month
- 2nd year $350 per month
- 3rd year $450 per month
- 4th year $500 per month
Contracted Cadets receive the stipend even if they are non-scholarship.
The Simultaneous Membership Program is for soldiers already in the National Guard. SMP cadets are also elligble for the Guaranteed Reserve Forces Duty Scholarship.
The Green to Gold Program is for currently active enlisted soldiers who wish to stay on active duty while obtaining their college degree.
The University of Nebraska at Lincoln sponsors and provides several scholarships ear-marked for ROTC students. These scholarships are awarded in the spring of each year to Cadets already in the program.
