About the Department

The Department of Art and Art History at the University of Nebraska Lincoln is one of the most distinguished art programs in the nation. We offer bachelor of arts (BA) degree programs in studio art and art history, a bachelor of fine arts (BFA) degree program in studio art, and master of fine arts (MFA) degree programs in ceramics, graphic design, drawing & painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture.

Students work closely with teachers who have national and international reputations in art, art history, and archeology. The Sheldon Memorial Art Gallery and Sculpture Garden and Great Plains Art Museum offer additional opportunities for students to learn and work with major art collections.
