Welcome to the home of UNL ASCE!

The UNL ASCE Student Chapter is an organization for Civil Engineering students who work together to gain insights into their future career field.

Throughout each year, our chapter is involved in many events on both the local and national scale. Every month we hold a chapter meeting where we invite a professional engineer to come and talk about a project that they have been involved in while we enjoy free pizza. Some of our past speakers have covered the construction of a natural gas pipeline across the state of Nebraska as well as the Antelope Valley Project. To see more activities we are involved with, please view the navigation menu above.

Benefits of membership in ASCE

Whether you are a freshman or an graduate student interested in getting involved, there are several unique opportunities ASCE provides. The Steel Bridge and Concrete Canoe teams allow students to gain hands-on experience working with real life scenarios. Each year, these teams take their final products to competition where they will try to prove that their bridge or canoe has one of the best designs in the nation.

While working on these projects, underclassmen have the chance to meet older students who can provide advice on classes, homework, and professors.
