The University of Nebraska—Lincoln Band Program
About UNL Bands
Founded in 1879, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln band program has grown from a single small ROTC band to encompass seven ensembles that perform for a combined audience of well over one million people annually.
The Glenn Korff School of Music at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln enthusiastically invites all students, regardless of academic major, to participate in one or more of our bands. Additional information about each of our band ensembles is available under the ensemble heading in the drop down menu at the top of the page. Auditions for the fall concert and jazz ensembles are scheduled for the first week of classes in August. We encourage you to explore the rich tradition of our band program.
Band Camp ExhibitionThe Cornhusker Marching Band's annual Exhibition at the end of Band Camp is scheduled for Friday, August 22 at 7:00 PM in Memorial Stadium. Fans should use Gate 3 (southwest corner) or Gate 11 (northwest corner.) Admission is free. The show is open to the public. Parking is available in the garage directly west of the stadium or in any downtown city parking garage. The cost of parking in the surface lots surrounding the stadium is $5.00. The Exhibition will be held if there is light to moderate rain. We will cancel and not re-schedule the event if the weather is dangerous (lightning or high winds.)
Band Alumni ReunionThe Band Alumni Reunion is scheduled for September 5-6 (Nebraska vs. McNeese State.) More information and the registration form is posted on the Nebraska Band Alumni Association web site. The registration deadline is August 24, 2014.
