Ignatius Nip is a doctoral candidate at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Ignatius has a B.A. in Speech Science and Linguistics from the University of British Columbia (Vancouver, BC, Canada) and an M.S.L.P. from the University of Alberta (Edmonton, AB, Canada). Ignatius worked in a preschool clinic in Vancouver and an inclusive preschool setting in Calgary before attending UNL. Ignatius' research is focused on speech physiology and motor speech development in children and the contribution of cognitive and linguistic factors on the development of speech motor control under the direction of Dr. Jordan Green. Ignatius chose to attend UNL's program because of Dr. Green's research, the supportive atmosphere among faculty and students in the department, and the state of the art research and learning facilities available to students at Barkley and at the Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital. |
