Alexandra Trout is an Assistant Research Professor at the Center for At-Risk Children's Services at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Dr. Trout has extensive experience working with programs and interventions for children, youth, and their families with or at-risk of emotional and behavioral disorders. After working in the public schools, and as an assistant professor in the department of special education at the University of Iowa, Dr. Trout has spent the past three years working on a research partnership with Boys Town to develop and evaluate programs to meet the aftercare needs of families and youth in out-of-home care. Dr. Trout's current research is funded by the Department of Education's Institute for Educational Sciences.
