Christine A. Marvin uses her training and experience as a speech-language pathologist and early interventionist to coordinate and teach the courses and practicums associated with the graduate program of study in early childhood special education at UNL. Dr. Marvin's interests include interdisciplinary training programs and prevention and intervention programs for infants, toddlers, and preschool-age children with disabilities in home and inclusive community-based programs. Her research has focused on the effects of context (home, school and child care) on young children's communication development and the implications for early literacy intervention programs. Currently she is active in researching home visiting programs for infants and preschool children, and quality of online distance education courses. Dr. Marvin is the past representative from higher education on the Nebraska Interagency Coordinating Council for Early Intervention and Past-President of the Nebraska CEC Division for Early Childhood.
