Kristy S.E. Weissling, SLP.D., CCC-SLP, is a lecturer in the Barkley Speech-Language Hearing Clinic. Her primary interest is acquired neurogenic communication disorders. Her other interests include augmentative and alternative communication, adult developmental disorders, and cognitive linguistic changes in aging. In addition to her clinic responsibilities, Kristy teaches the medical aspects module in the Communication Disorders Department.

Kristy received her Professional doctorate from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL and received her Master's and Bachelors degrees from the University of Nebraska- Lincoln. Prior to working at the Barkley Memorial Center, Kristy was a Program Instructor at Nova Southeastern University and also worked in a variety of adult settings including: acute care hospitals, rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, group homes for the developmentally disabled, free standing pediatric and adult clinics, and outpatient rehabilitation centers.

Kristy is a member of ASHA and has served as Vice President for Public Relations on the board of the Miami Association of Communication Specialists. She is currently the Nebraska Speech-Language Hearing Association's MICS and STARS representatives to ASHA.
