Dr. Decker received his M.Ed. in Audiology from Eastern Washington State University in 1969 and his Ph.D. in Audiology from the University of Washington in 1975. He worked for several years as a clinician at the Seattle Hearing and Speech Center in Seattle, Washington. Following his Ph.D., he was employed at the University of North Dakota as an Assistant Professor of Audiology. In 1977 he moved to his current position at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he presently is Professor of Audiology. Dr. Decker also served for several years as the Associate Dean of the Graduate College. Dr. Decker teaches courses in physiological acoustics, hearing science, evoked potentials, and psychoacoustics. He directs student research in his primary area of interest, evoked potentials and otoacoustic emissions. When he is not in his office he can be found on his sailboat, the golf course, or at a scuba dive site somewhere in the world. |
