Ockjean Kim, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor specializing in cognitive disabilities, autism, and pre-service teacher preparation. She teaches general education preservice teachers to work with students with disabilities. Her current research interests are interaction styles of special education teachers, observational research methods, academic achievements of students with autism, and multicultural competencies of pre-service teachers. Dr. Kim received her Ph.D. from University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Her dissertation won the Dissertation Award from the Council for Exceptional Children, the Teacher Education Division.
