Dr. Boney received his BA and MA degrees from Kent State University in 1972 and 1974, respectively. He received his Ph.D. in Audiology and Hearing Sciences from Vanderbilt University in 1986. Dr. Boney worked as a master's clinician at the University of Arizona in the Hearing and Speech Sciences Department. He was employed there for 7 1/2 years as a clinical supervisor, coordinator of an educational audiology program, and tutor/supervisor on a federal grant to recruit and train Native Americans as speech-language pathologists and audiologists. Since receiving his Ph.D., he has been on the faculty of the Audiology Section at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He teaches both graduate and undergraduate audiology courses, as well as provides supervision in the clinic. In addition, he directs student research and his interest is primarily in the areas of aural rehabilitation and pediatric audiology. |
