Program Requirements

A student, in consultation with his/her advisor, will elect either Option I (thesis program) or Option III (non-thesis program). It is anticipated that it will take approximately two years to complete all academic and clinical requirements (Summer included). A minimum of 45 semester hours is required for the Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Option I (the thesis program) requires 39 semester hours of "Core" course work, 6 semester hours of Thesis Research SPLA 899.
Option III (the non-thesis program) also requires 42 semester hours of "Core" requirements, (including 3 semester hours of Directed Research SPLA 896) and 3 semester hours of electives.
