The UNL program meets the minimum requirements for a PreK-12 teaching endorsement in the area of Special Education - Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) from the Nebraska Department of Education. It is endorsed by the Council on Education of the Deaf as a comprehensive teacher preparation program at the elementary school level. Our graduates work in residential schools and public schools; they serve as classroom teachers, itinerants and consultants. They work in programs that use “auditory/oral,” "total communication" and "bilingual" pedagogies. Frequently Asked Questions- Graduate |
