Women of Color Appreciation:

The Women of Color Appreciation Event began spring 2005. It is an event designed and geared to showing all women of color the importance they play in the lives of America, People of Color Communities, the college communities, as well as the men of Alpha. From this, the men of Beta Beta have set a framework for the Women of Color Appreciation Event to an annual occurrence.

Resume Building Workshop:

The Resume Building Workshop is an annual event geared toward the preparation and improvement of college students' marketability in the real world, working environment. The Men of Alpha have collaborated with the University of Nebraska Career Services Department through Dr. Jake Kirkland for the past several years. "A Voteless People is a Hopeless People":

"A Voteless People is a Hopeless People" was initiated as a National Program of Alpha during the 1930's when many African-Americans had the right to vote but were prevented from voting because of poll taxes, threats of reprisal, and lack of education about the voting process. Voter education and registration has remained a dominant focus of this outreach activity for over 65 years. Beta Beta has conducted several voter registration drives throughout the years. In addition, over the past years, the Brothers of the Beta Beta chapter have upheld this national program by hosting voter education seminars, candidate forums and panel discussions, as well as prepared voters education packets to inform voters of the positions of candidates.
