Todd
Director’s Bio:
Stephen
Todd is originally from Mitchell, SD, where he was a four
year member of Friend de Coup, the South Dakota All-State,
and Honors Choirs. He holds a BFA in Musical Theatre
and a Minor in Dance from Millikin University in Decatur,
IL. Stephen has had the privilege to star in many regional
theatres around the country in shows such as Chicago,
Footloose, Titanic, Forever Plaid, Pippin, Cabaret, Tick
Tick Boom!, And the World Goes Round, The Scarlet Pimpernel, and Singing
in the Rain. He was also featured on the Broadway
National Tour of Kiss Me, Kate, and made his New
York City debut in the reading of the new musical M.Claudel starring
the legendary Eartha Kitt. Stephen is a proud member of Actor’s
Equity Association.
Currently Stephen is working towards his Masters Degree
in Vocal Performance at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
At UNL he has starred in the productions of Dead Man
Walking, A Midsummer Nights Dream, Songs for A New
World, Elijah, and the spring dance concert Evenings
of Dance. Stephen is also currently directing
and choreographing the collegiate showchoir The Big Red Singers,
and has also choreographed and staged the UNL mainstage productions
of Carousel and Elijah at the Lied Center
for Performing Arts.
His choreography credits include showchoirs
in Nebraska, California, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Iowa,
South Dakota, Minnesota, Ohio, Wisconsin, and on the East
Coast. His
choirs have received Best Choreography, Best Show Design,
and Outstanding Concept awards along with Grand Champion. He
is currently on staff at the UNL Showchoir Camp, Butler Summer
Showchoir Camp and Showchoir Camps of America, and has been
privileged to choreograph and work with groups at the Alabama,
Indiana and Missouri All-State Showchoir Conventions.
