Education Alumni

(Graduation Prior to December 2002)

Because of budget cuts at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Career Services no longer offers credentials services for alumni credentials file holders effective December 1, 2002.

As of July 1, 2003, all files that have NOT been accessed within the last 10 years have been destroyed.

Access to UNL transcripts is still available through UNL Registration and Records

File holders whose files have been activated within the last 10 years can choose from Option A or Option B.

OPTION A: File holders can request (in writing by letter, FAX, or by web request form) to have all non-confidential materials sent to them. The request must include all names used, social security number, mailing address, and daytime phone number. Materials sent will include the File Contents Sheet, the Transcript, the Student Teaching Evaluation, and any non-confidential letters of recommendation. Confidential materials will be destroyed. File holders choosing this option will be able to self-manage their own credential files by requesting non-confidential letters from future letter of recommendation writers to complete their files.

OPTION B: If you do not wish to self-manage your credentials, you could pay to use an on-line service. You would send your letters, transcripts, student teaching evaluation or any other information that you would like stored in your file to the on-line service, and that on-line service would mail your credentials to schools at your request. For more information about an on-line service, including fees, visit Interfolio (NOTE: The Office of Career Services does not endorse Interfolio or any other on-line service or have any type of professional affiliation with any on-line service. On-line service for credentials is presented to educators for the purpose of offering alternatives for handling education credentials.) If you choose this option, you would request that Career Services mail your file contents to Interfolio by sending our office a signed request made available to you by Interfolio.

Career Services will continue to provide career counseling and job search strategy support to Alumni. Husker Hire Link access remains available to alumni at no charge.
