Interns and Co-op Report - Academic Year 2006-2007
This summary lists internships reported to Career Services by the student, the employer, or academic department. It does not reflect interns who worked solely with a faculty member or academic department. ps. Although Career Services has expanded outreach efforts, they still believe there are UNL students who participated in internships that are not recorded in this report.
INTERNS/COOPS
In 2006-07, 987 internships or co-ops by 757 individuals in 460 organizations were reported to Career Services. Of the internships with a specified time frame:
- 56% were over the summer
- 21% were in the fall
- 20% were in the spring
- 3% were a summer/semester co-op

WAGES
Of the 524 internships or co-ops reporting a wage, the average wage was $11.70/hour. Lowest reported wage was $5.15/hour; highest was $35.00. Internships are held by both undergraduate and graduate students.
ACADEMIC CREDIT
Career Services does not always receive information regarding whether Academic Credit was pursued in conjunction with an internship or co-op. However, 112 of the internships or co-ops were reported as being for academic credit for a total of 302 credit hours. Colleges and departments differ in their practices regarding academic credit. Some students pursue credit outside of their department or College.
