CASNR Week Program Council is a student organization with dedicated student leaders. Student organized committees host each event to showcase and celebrate the college.
- Community Night
This event is dedicated to the youngest members of the CASNR and East Campus community. Student organizations host a carnival for children with games and prizes. We serve free food to the children and their guardians during the event. Huntington and Clinton Elementary Schools, Ruth Staples Child Development Lab and all CASNR faculty, staff and students, including their children, are invited to the free Community Night. - CASNR Week Recognition Banquet
The banquet is to celebrate students honored during the Academic Honors Convocation ceremony and outstanding faculty, staff and alumni. We recognize student leaders with outstanding club member and leader awards along with the outstanding CASNR student organization of the year. Faculty and staff are honored with nominations and awards for teaching and advising. Distinguished CASNR Alumni are rewarded for their efforts on behalf of the college and Nebraska agriculture. - Blood Drive
Each year we collaborate with the Community Blood Bank in Lincoln to host a blood drive on East Campus during CASNR Week. We believe it is important to give back to the community with this event. Also, we host a blood drive during Homecoming Week in the fall semester. - Lunch on the Lawn
We host a free lunch for all CASNR students, faculty and staff to show our appreciation for another successful year. - Club Adviser Luncheon
The Club Adviser Luncheon allows CASNR student organizations to provide a big thank you to their advisers. Advisors and club representatives receive a free lunch and certificate of appreciation. - Undergraduate TA Luncheon
The Undergraduate TA Luncheon allows faculty to show appreciation to the teaching assistants for their classes. The teaching assistants receive a free lunch and certificate of appreciation.
We also partner with many other departments and student organizations to host several other events during CASNR Week:
