CCSW to Sponsor Brown Bag Panel Discussion on Negotiation in Academia

Figuring Out What You Want and How to Ask for It: Negotiating in Academia will be held on Monday, April 13, 2009 in the Nebraska Union from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. Students, post-doctoral fellows, staff and faculty are invited to attend. Dr. Barbara Couture, Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs; Dr. Alan Kamil, Director of the School of Biological Sciences; and Dr. Marjorie Kostelnik, Dean of the College of Education and Human Sciences will each speak for approximately fifteen minutes about strategic negotiation. Mission

The purpose of the Chancellor's Commission on the Status of Women is to enhance the status of all women at UNL, by advising the Chancellor on issues pertaining to gender equity and on specific concerns of women faculty, staff and students at the University.

Confidentiality

The Commission and each Council adhere to a policy of strict confidentiality. Conversations with the Chancellor are advisory and confidential. In addition, members of the University community should feel free to consult with members of the Commission and to express their opinions in confidence. The Commission shall not disclose to the Chancellor, or to others, any communication requested to be kept confidential by a member of the University community.
