Executive Director of the Nebraska Alumni Association
Shelley Zaborowski became executive director of the Nebraska Alumni Association in April 2015. In this role, Zaborowski works closely with the university administration, athletic department, University of Nebraska Foundation, campus community and alumni chapters and groups to encourage the active participation of alumni and friends with the university.
Zaborowski has been with the NAA for 18 years and has served as Associate Executive Director since 2006 of the 25,000-member association. During her NAA tenure, Zaborowski has served as secretary for the association's Executive Board of Directors and Alumni Advisory Council and managed a variety of events and programs, including alumni career services, Alumni Masters Week, Alumni Awards, Scarlet Guard (Student Alumni Association) and Cather Circle, a women’s professional development group which she helped develop.
A native of Omaha, Neb., Zaborowski is a two-time graduate of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. As an undergraduate, she was elected UNL Homecoming Queen in 1995. Zaborowski earned a master's in education in 2000. She received a Council of Alumni Association Executives Forman Fellowship in 2007 and the Lincoln Business Journal's "40 Under 40" Award in 2006.
Shelley and her husband Keith have two children, Madeline, 12, and Ethan, 11.
