The Chamber
Singers is a small vocal ensemble of 20-24 voices created to
provide a chamber experience for vocalists here at the School
of Music. The choir explores a broad range of repertoire specializing
in literature for unaccompanied vocal performance and chamber
ensembles, including works from early music, traditional choral
chamber music as well as contemporary and new music created
for smaller vocal groups.
Membership in the Chamber Singers is determined by audition
each semester, and music majors and non-majors are encouraged
to participate in this unique ensemble. Audition and schedule
information may be obtained from Therees Hibbard (402-472-0378,
thibbard2@unl.edu). |
