| The UNL
Vocal Jazz Ensemble focuses on performing in styles outside
the common practice period, namely commercial- and jazz-influenced.
Students are instructed in varying tonal and timbral production,
the art of solo jazz singing, and vocal improvisation. The
ensemble rehearses twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday nights
from 8:30 to 10:00. The Ensemble has participated
in various on- and off-campus performances including the UNL
concert season, area coffee houses, area festivals (including
the UNL Chamber Choir Festival), and caroling tours. Please
