The Nebraska club baseball team is currently ranked 7^th in the country.

Regionals will be held in Hutchinson, KS on May 12^th - 13^th. Here is what the regional coordinator had to say about Hutchinson:

"It’s official guys. I have secured Hobart-Detter Field in Hutchinson, Kansas as the host of the 2007 Mid-America Regional Tournament. I chose the location because the field is neutral to all 19 teams in the Central Plains and Rocky Mountain conferences. I also believe the city of Hutchinson has a lot to offer and is going to help us make this regional tournament a complete success. Check out this link for pictures of the field.

The tournament will take place Saturday, May 12th and Sunday, May 13th. The reason I chose these dates is because almost everyone has their last conference games April 27th-29th, which leaves me only May 4th-6th for make-up games. Lastly, May 18th-20th is much too late for the regional champion to plan their trip to Fort Myers for the World Series. I realize the regional dates may conflict with final exams for some of you and graduation for others. I’m telling you now so you can make appropriate preparations to attend the regional if need be ... let all your players know. All teams should immediately re-work their budgets to take into account travel and lodging expenses. I am currently working with the city of Hutchinson to secure an "Official Hotel of the Mid-America Regional Tournament," which will in turn offer cheaper rates for all teams. I will update you once I work out all details. For now, field location and dates should be sufficient."

Fundraising
This is a reminder that fundraising for the Spring 2007 will be on Feb. 1^st. Be sure to call Rob or Austin if you can't make it or have any questions.

SPRING 2007 PRACTICE TIMES
The spring team will be practicing in the Cook Tuesdays from 9:00 - 10:30 p.m. and on Thursdays from 10:30 p.m. - midnight beginning on January 16^th. Every practice is mandatory. If you can not make a practice for any reason, you must let Austin or Rob know prior to practice.

Optional batting practices will be held on Wednesdays or Thursdays from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. in the batting cages outside of Mabel Lee.

We would like everyone to view the 2007 Rules and Registration Policies prior to starting our season.
