FALL BALL
Fall Ball at Nebraska is the beginning to our season. The fall ball sessions have been running for the past 3 years at UNL. Our fall season
usually includes 6 - 10 teams (depending on participation numbers). Everyone on the teams are students at UNL. There are usually a minimum of
10 games played for each team (depending on the weather and field locations). Anyone and everyone are welcome to participate. We'd like to get as many
numbers as possible to make the Fall 2006 season the best ever.
There will be players in the fall of all raning talent-levels, and teams will be evenly distributed at the start to create the most competitive league to
date. We encourage players with ANY playing experience who wish to keep playing competitive baseball to come to our meeting that will be held a couple of
weeks after the academic fall school session begins.
Remember, there will be players ranging from 1 year of high school baseball to collegiate Devision 1 caliber players included in the fall. Our goal is
to just bring in as many players as possible who love to play the gam, regardless of talent-level. This should make for the best Fall Ball season to date.
We encourage everyone to try as hard as they can during the Fall Ball sessions. During the fall, you will have a coach that played on the Nebraska Club
Baseball team during the last year. Throughout this league, we will be evaluating players and trying to fill roles for our spring team that travels
between February and May. Our spring team usually consists of around 20 players. As we know that there are more than that trying out in the fall, it is
very difficult for us to make our decissions at the end of Fall Ball.
If you are selected to be on the team, it is an experience like no other. The trips and meeting all of the new players alone is worth trying to make the
team. We travel mostly in the midwest as last year we went to Texas, Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa and Wisconsin. We hope that you will come out in the fall
and have a great season with us.
