Lincoln Program

Welcome to the UNO School of Criminology & Criminal Justice - Lincoln Program

The School of Criminology and Criminal Justice is a nationally recognized leader in criminal justice education and research. Faculty research includes attention to the major components of the criminal justice system, as well as the study of criminal behavior and law. The academic backgrounds of the faculty are multidisciplinary and include sociology, psychology, public administration, history, political science, urban studies, as well as criminal justice and criminology.

ON-LINE OPTIONS

In addition to traditional classes, the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice offers several courses on-line. Students may supplement their regular semester classes with a few on-line courses or could complete the entire minor on-line. Courses offered include:

The program is administered by the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and the School offers the complete undergraduate degree on both the Omaha and Lincoln campuses of the University of Nebraska. The School also offers Master of Science and Master of Arts degrees, as well as a Ph.D. degree.

Faculty & Staff

We have 20 full-time faculty members, 12 in Omaha and 8 in Lincoln. We have approximately 300 undergraduate majors on each campus, 65 students who are pursuing a Masters Degree, and 35 who are pursuing a doctorate. Congratulations, Dr. Hank Robinson

The School of Criminology and Criminal Justice is pleased to announce that Dr. Hank Robinson has been named Director of the Consortium for Crime and Justice Research (CCJR). The creation of this position is a significant step toward the goal of expanding the School's collaborative research capacity in not only the State of Nebraska but at the national level as well. CCJR will no doubt flourish with Dr. Robinson at the helm given his tremendous experience with working collaboratively with community partners in his former position of Director of the Juvenile Justice Institute. Welcome, Dr. Robinson!

Congratulations, Karen Fulton!

Congratulations are warmly extended to Karen Fulton, the 2009 winner of the Floyd S. Oldt Award for Exceptional Service to the University. This prestigious, university-wide award is sponsored by the University Association for Administrative Development. Karen Fulton is an academic advisor in Criminology and Criminal Justice and administrator for the College of Public Affairs and Community Service on the UNL campus. The School of Criminology and Criminal Justice is proud to call Ms. Fulton one of their own and are grateful for all that she does to serve students in our program.
