General Studies

      The STAR Center (Satellite Tutoring and Advising Resources Center) is a joint effort between the Office of Undergraduate Studies and Housing to provide walk-in academic advising and tutoring services to students within the residence hall environment. Located in Sandoz Hall 118, students can drop in and talk to an academic adviser Tuesdays from 1:00-5:00 p.m. and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:00-5:00 p.m.


   Math Tutoring

     Students can also stop by room 117 for math tutoring for any 100-level courses on:

  • Wednesdays, 6:00-9:00 p.m.

    Writing Assistance  

     Students can also stop by room 119 to talk to a tutor from the Writing Assistance Center (Drop-by only):

  • Mondays: 6:00-9:00 p.m.
  • Tuesdays: 6:00-9:00 p.m.
  • Wednesdays: 6:00-9:00 p.m.
  • Thursdays: 6:00-9:00 p.m.
  • Sundays: 5:00-7:00 p.m.

     No appointment is necessary and the services provided by the Star Center are open to all University of Nebraska students. Phone number: 472-7128.
