 1. Fall 2005 Tuition and Fees Due Date

The due date for Fall 2005 tuition and fees will be the second
Wednesday of September (Sept. 14th), and not in October as in

 2. December 2005 Graduation Application Deadline is Sept. 23

The deadline to apply for a degree to be received in December
2005 is Friday, Sept. 23. A $25 non-refundable fee must
accompany the Application For Degree form. Applications are to
be filed at the Graduation Services Office, 109 Canfield
Administration Building.

 3. Big 12 Faculty Fellowships

The Big 12 Faculty Fellowship program is intended to stimulate
scholarly exchanges with Big 12 institutions. The program offers
faculty the opportunity to travel to member institutions to
collaborate on projects and research. Deadline for submitting
proposals is December 1, 2005. The maximum fellowship award per
applicant is $2,500.

 4. SBIR National Conference Registration Support

NSF EPSCoR and SBIR are providing support for participation in
the SBIR National Conference in Albany, NY, November 14-17,
2005. This support enables Nebraska EPSCoR to provide a credit
of $350 per registrant to offset the conference registration fee
for the first five registrants. Additional conference

 8. Jr. Blackshirts Day Camps - Sept. Dates

The Campus Rec Center is now accepting registrations for the Jr.
Blackshirts Day Camps held during Husker football home games.
Open to youth ages 2-12 years (whose parent/guardian is attendig
the game), kids will enjoy swimming, playing sports, watching
movies, and much more. Limited space. Pre-Registration required.

10. Enterprise Rent-A-Car Airport Rate

Transportation Services now offers Enterprise Rent-A-Car one-way
rentals to the Omaha airport. Rates are $32 to $36 per day
(depending on vehicle class), plus fuel, and includes 60 miles
per day. Vehicles are returned adjacent to the airport, all
airport drop fees are waived, and shuttle service is provided to
the Eppley departure drop-off location. All travel exceeding 60
miles per day is charged at $.20 per mile plus fuel. For more

11. Omaha Airport Rental Rate Special

Transportation Services has available a limited number of sedans
with a special rental rate through February 2006 for discounted
travel to the Omaha airport. The special rate is a flat $46.00
charge which includes 145 miles and up to 15 days usage. If
vehicle travel is more than 145 miles, or the vehicle is used
for travel other than to/from the Omaha airport, the department
will be charged the standard Intermediate Sedan rate ($15 day
+ $.21 mile).

The Rec Center's hours of operation will be adjusted for the
Labor Day weekend: (Friday) City = 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., EC = 6:30

46. Public Asked to Vote on Egg Artistry Contest Entries

Eleven Nebraska artists have submitted entries in the 12th
annual White House Egg Artistry Contest sponsored by the Poultry
and Egg Division of the Nebraska Department of Agriculture. The
public can view the eggs and vote for their favorite one at the
University of Nebraska State Museum (Morrill Hall), 14th & U
St.). The eggs will be on display until Oct. 3. Museum hours are:
Mondays through Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and
Sundays from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Eggs are to be judged based on
the best depiction of the state of Nebraska. The winning egg
will be on display at the White House during Easter, 2006. The
