Statistics Dept.(formerly Biometry Dept.) will move from Miller

The University of Nebraska Press is moving its headquarters. As
of March 14, the press offices will be located on the fourth

 3. 2005 UNL Service Award Selection Deadline is May 1, 2005

2005 UNL Service Award recipients who have been notified of the
service awards process, have until May 1, 2005 to make a
selection online. The 2005 recipients may access the UNL Human

The Shades of Leadership award is sponsored by the Office of

we honor students, faculty and staff who have made significant

33. "Miss Miye" Japanese Doll Exhibit at Morrill Hall

For the first time in 25 years, the public has the opportunity
to see "Miss Miye," the Japanese Friendship Doll, on exhibit at
the University of Nebraska State Museum at Morrill Hall on the
UNL city campus. The doll is on display from March 3 through
May 5. The historic and beautiful doll, measuring 32 inches tall,
is displayed with her interesting and decorative accessories.
The doll first arrived in this country in 1927 as a gift to
American children from the children of Japan intended to carry
a message of goodwill. Hours: Mon - Sat 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.,
Sun 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Admission: Free w/ UNL ID; general: $8

Last week the best girls' high school basketball teams in the
state battled it out for the state championship titles. On
Saturday, March 12, the boys get their chance as the
championship games in six different classes of the Nebraska
boys' high school basketball tournament are broadcast live from
the Bob Devaney Sports Center on NET1 Channel 12. The Class C-2
game begins at 9:30 a.m., with Class D-2 at 11:30 a.m., Class A
