 1. Flu Shot Clinic at UHC on Dec. 1

The University Health Center (UHC) has received a limited number
of influenza vaccine and will hold a walk-in vaccine clinic on
Thursday, Dec. 1. The clinic will be held at the UHC (15th and U
St.) from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 4 p.m. Flu vaccinations
cost $20 and payment via cash or check is required at the time
of the vaccination. If you carry Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance,
a claim will be filed for you by the UHC for possible reimbursement
as long as you have your insurance card with you. Because of the
limited number of doses received, this clinic will only be
available to UNL students, faculty and staff.

 6. "Carpal Tunnel Syndrome During Pregnancy" project seeks subjects

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is a painful problem primarily
resulting from the compression of the median nerve in carpal
tunnel of the wrist. We are looking for pregnant women in their
1st or 2nd trimester to participate in this study, which will
help pregnant women make informed decisions about tasks and
their potential impacts on CTS symptoms during pregnancy.
Participants will be interviewed to answer questionnaires and
have tests on maximum grip/pinch strength, nerve conduction
test, etc. All the tests are safe and will require
approximately 30 minutes. Subjects will be reimbursed $25 for
each visit, (Maximum 3 times for total $75). This research is
approved by the UNL IRB office and funded by the Department of
Industrial & Management Systems Engineering. If interested,

 7. Katrina Relief Trip Leaders Needed

Faculty/staff trip leaders are needed for the Katrina Relief
Trip to Waveland, Miss., from Jan. 2-7, 2006, sponsored by the

Watch the incredible, Edible Car competition at E-Day at

22. Receptions for candidates for Director of OASIS/Culture Center

Receptions will be held for the three final candidates who have
been invited to campus to interview for the position of director
of OASIS/Culture Center. Receptions will be held from 10:15 to
11:15 a.m. in the Nebraska Union on the following dates:
Dec. 5 - Juan Izaguirre; Dec. 8 - Jamar Banks, and Dec. 13 -
CeCe Ridder. These sessions are open to all members of the UNL
and Lincoln communities. Candidates will give a brief statement

23. Community Assessment Training Registration Deadline Dec. 2

On Tuesday, Dec. 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the University of
Nebraska Rural Initiative and the Nebraska Rural Development
Commission will sponsor a training session for people interested
in serving on Community Assessment Resource Teams. The session
will be held at the NPPD Building, 402 East State Farm Road.

The Office of Research and Graduate Studies will host two

A one-hour documentary film and companion magazine about
French-U.S. relations produced by students in the UNL's College

28. Christmas in the Clouds Opening Friday at the Ross

Opening Friday, Dec. 2, Christmas in the Clouds, a classic
comedy of mistaken identity and romance set during the holiday
season at a ski resort that is owned and operated by a Native

The Bathtub Dogs, UNL's 15-member male a cappella group, will
perform its Fall Concert at 8 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 1 in the

$6 adults. The Bathtub Dogs perform in a modern a cappella
style using popular music and an informal performance style,
